Something Old Something New
Do not be alarmed! This is the same old personal blog of Robbie Coutts, it’s just had a bit of a face-lift. With a brand new navigation style and new attractive colours I believe the blog looks alot fresher and easier to read. Throughout the new design you’ll find a few extra things that may or may not blow your mind! For example, check out the new About Me Page, where you can read all about me, my life and just about everything else! The photo on that page was taken in the tunnels near my house – kudos goes out to Timsky for taking the Photo! Pages have moved from their original place in the sidebar to their own individual pages, including: Archives, Categories, Photos and Links. And a brand new page where you can contact me anytime you want, the Contact Page! So if you feel you need to know something about me desperately, just drop me a line on that page and you’ll be set! You’ll also notice the recent comments on the sidebar and the Random Search Term Generator. And also you might occasionally see the odd gravatar next to comments. A gravatar is a Globally Recognised Avatar, and anyone can have one… get yours here!
That pretty much covers everything that’s changed on the website, now to me. What am I up to these days? What am I doing? Why am I here? The first two I can almost answer fully, not sure about that third one… These days I’m still working casual hours in a lolly (candy for you americans) shop, meanwhile starting up my own “business” so to speak. I plan to just do some basic freelance work just to earn a little cash. If it goes well I’ll keep at it and I could hopefully end up earning a decent amount. If it doesn’t go well I think I’ll head off to Uni somewhere to either do more Multimedia related course or something else like Teaching. While doing design and development I will also be starting up a couple of content driven web sites to try and generate a little extra income.
Not much other news really… I have a new favourite song – Eric Prydz feat. Roxette – Fading Like a Flower. I got this song tonight and have NOT stopped listening to it. Drop me a line and I’ll get it to you. It’s just so awesome – a classic with a brand new beat. Can’t wait to have it crankin’ in my car soon! Another point of order, i’m currently working on my boot – just converted the rust, primed and painted over it… Next up is to carpet the whole thing, put a false floor in and then the sub box and amp. Things are moving along.
I would like to get a Queen Size bed. But I can’t decide between the White Malm from IKEA worth $269 or the Medium Brown Malm from IKEA worth $356. It’s quite a difference in money when you have to buy a matress also, and Egor made a good point – the white one is more Apple-Like (sexy). Plus I don’t really have anything significantly wooden in my room, as in there’s more ‘white’ than ‘medium brown’. What do you think? Comment and let me know!
Well, I think that’s about it for the moment… As it’s quite late and I’m considerably tired, I’m now gonna head off to bed. Remember, tell me what you think of the new design and also which bed I should get!
Keep it Real Peoples!
A man who lives in a glass house should change in the basement.
Signing off, Robbie.
Layout looks broken in IE. The menu in the top right is staggared and the link to cannot be seen.
get yours here not working either.
(I use IE at work, stupid work websites are not Firefox friendly)
I’ll stop lagging on it now.
Appart from that the new site is lookin’ good. Keep it up!
Whoops, I didn’t realise the html tags I used would actually be converted from text.
Neither link was supposed to be a link…..
Nice work, Robbie. A refreshing change from that grungy theme you had going.
This is much better than the old one. The left column feels empty though.
Nice work Robbie. and no, i still don’t have the ask me plugin finished. sigh….
