Melbourne, the most liveable un-driveable city in the world.
I have heard it many times and you may have heard it sometimes yourself, Melbourne, is apparently the most liveable city in the world. A study was done to see where the most liveable cities in the world were, and the main factors for the survey was stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
Take note! Please notice that there is no “driving around the city for 20 minutes” amongst these factors. If this were the case, Melbourne would not have scored as well as it did. Why? Because no one in this bloody city can drive. And I for one am sick of it, it’s getting ridiculous and I’m going to do something about it. I don’t know what yet, but I am.
I was driving along a main road this evening, going the speed limit through an intersection, and as I’m going through I see a car coming from the left turning left to travel the same direction as me… if that makes sense. I thought this car was going a bit fast, but I thought, surely it’s going to slow down and give way to me like it should… But no, it cuts out right in front of me! Luckily I was prepared for this and knew there wasn’t a car beside me and was able to change lanes VERY quickly.
I then proceeded to hold my 3 tone horn down for about 15 seconds next to this, as it turns out, woman. I found this as I drove past her driver’s side… seeing her on her bloody mobile phone! I couldn’t believe it! This goes to show people that mobile phones do cause accidents. I won’t tell you that I then jumped in front of her and slammed on the anchors, which she then changed lanes and turned right very quickly. I then proceeded to do a 180 and try to follow so I could kick her door in, but alas I lost her.
Kick her door in? Did I say that?! Well, I did say I’m sick of these drivers and am going to do something about it. So there you go, cut me off and I’ll kick your door in.

SHIT DUDE! If you kicked her door in, my respect for you would of increased. I can name quite a few times when someone could of caused an accident, like today, driving down police rd (2 lanes both ways), a P Plater decides to turn left into an intersection from the right lane. Safe driving ahead.

I was on police road today coming out of wavos, and an old guy who had the “U-turn giveway” sign, did not give way. I had to stop and let him past! If i wasn’t on my way somewhere I would have kicked his door in.

I think it’s not the best way out to cick someone’s door in because you may cause even more troubles on the road…see my blog about cars

Dude
I would like to invite you to Bangalore, India. I would take care of all the travel + stay expenses, but what I want you to do is drive around this city for, no, not even 20, just 5-7 minutes will suffice. I bet you’ll go back a happier man, and thank your lucky stars that you’re in Melbourne. Here, you’ll feel like kicking someone’s door and everything else in (and other thing too, as you’ll have to wrestle with scores of 2 and 3 wheelers, not to talk of jaywalkers right in the middle of the road!) every 10 seconds or so. I am not sure about Melbourne, but after 4 years in Bangalore, I found driving in Brisbane and the Gold Coast heavenly.
cheers
