Tis a Season
Today I would say, was our fair city’s first look into the hotter days ahead of us. It was a warm dry windy day but alas finished as a cold and rainy evening/night… Thank Goodness. For those of you who know me, or have read my ‘About Me’, you’ll have noticed that my preferred season, is Winter.
Summer, my friends, is definately not my favourite season and I’m sure there’s many of you that would argue to the end of days as to why you think summer is a better season, but let me point out to you some of the worser points to the season. Again, this is just my opinion, and you will not be judged for what you think (even if you are wrong 
), so please don’t judge me.
Summer is:
- The sweaty season – Where everyone sweats and almost never stops, therefore requiring constant deodourising attention and H2O refilling.
- Early mornings and late nights – It’s very hard to get to sleep and stay asleep when it’s hot all night.
- Skin Cancer season – Slip Slop Slap, all day long, everytime the sun lands on you. Every 2-4 hours. Ugh, so annoying!
- The Electrical season – Air conditioners and fans running everyday and all day long, expensive no?
- Computers Overheating – Garrr!
- Lots of Flies!
Yes, a few things come to mind when it comes to finding faults of the Summer season. I also believe that it is easier to get warm when it’s cold than to get cool when it’s hot.
But I must admit, there are some good things about summer, which I will list now. Let me know if I miss anything…
- Swimming
- Wearing Shorts & T-shirt at night
- Chicks in bikinis
- Chicks not in bikinis
- A cold brewski on a hot day
And that’s pretty much all I can think of at the moment. Feel free to let me know of any others and I shall add it to the list. As for now, you can vote on your favourite season in the poll in the sidebar on your left. So I’ll let you do that and shall leave it at that… for now…

Sincerely saying, I disagree that summer is so limited in possibilities, you’ve mentioned just 5. For me summer is first of all free time and opportunity to get somewhere abroad. The coming summer I am to work on a website of mine. They will be taken me in Homeric Poems Hotel to receive visitors. This is nice-wonderful feeling in me! I’ll reach Greece! I’ll see volcanic island! You should agree that in some other season I could not enjoy this chance. By the way my birthday is on summer. I love very much summer!
I’m glad the weather is getting colder here. Our summer is pretty different than yours. The temprature goes up to 133 (or more) in July/August, which would kill a typical european.
Personally i like warm weather. Not too hot, not too cold.
Summer is my favourite season!!! It’s because I take better heat than cold!!!
That’s why very soon I made up my mind to prolong hot summer vacations and to visit the Emirates!!! I was told that it’s very hot there even in autumn and winter and if it rains the Dubai hotel will give all the necessary entertainment!!!! Thus, you’ll freeze and I’ll enjoy the sun!!!! hehehe
